Teenagers using their smartphones simultaneously.

Your teen is probably not getting as much sleep as you did at the same age.  You wonder why?  Probably because of technology and our smartphones.

Current studies have found that adolescents get less than 7 hours of sleep per night when they should be getting at least 9 hours.

The more time that adolescents spend on the internet, the less sleep they get!

Past research has found that the light from smartphones and similar devices may interfere with sleep. The study authors suggested limiting tablet and smartphone use to two hours per day to leave an adequate amount of time for proper sleep, which is good advice for any age group.

Perhaps the smartphones should be all plugged into a kitchen outlet at night away from the bedrooms!
